Kontron offers powerful Web Panels with NXP i.MX8M mini processor and intelligent QIWI toolkit.
Ismaning, November 17, 2020 - Kontron, a leading global provider of IoT/Embedded Computing Technology (ECT), is presenting new Web Panels based on the latest processor technology at SPS Connect 2020. The integrated software is based on Kontron's intelligent QIWI toolkit.
Kontron extends its HMI portfolio with powerful Web Panels based on Arm® NXP i.MX8M mini processors for device and machine visualization and building automation. The new product line is characterized in particular by its attractive design, capacitive multi-touch technology and high-brightness IPS displays with high resolution in 7", 10.1" and 15.6". The Web Panels are available in aluminum or stainless steel frames and are specially designed for use in industrial environments and for ambient temperatures from 0 to +55 degrees Celsius. The standard version is perfectly suited for installation in control cabinets and consoles with IP65 protection class at the front. Thanks to its modular design, easy adaptation to customer-specific requirements is guaranteed. Short delivery times, highest manufacturing quality, competent technical support and a long-term repair service is guaranteed by the production taking place in Europe.
The integrated QIWI Toolkit software package provides the user with a performance optimized HTML-5 browser. The QIWI Toolkit offers possibilities for easy configuration and parameterization, for example configuration of the network, display properties, time and language settings, and also provides a file and package manager. The "look and feel" of the browser interface can be customized, for example the language, font and company logo. The layout and size of the virtual keyboard can be adjusted, and also captures Asian, Arabic and Cyrillic characters. In addition, the optional MicroBrowser from "IniNet" for PLC controllers with an integrated CODESYS WebVisu web server offers the fastest response times.
